Inspiring
The Sprague Award

Nancy and I are particularly fortunate in that we share so many interests. Principal among them is our commitment to helping other people, and so that’s been Nancy’s and my philosophy all along in terms of not-for-profit organizations we work for. It is always with that goal in mind. Let us try to make Dallas a better place.”
Jeremy Halbreich

You can say we both really care about our community and are beneficiaries of the many good qualities that are in Dallas. And so, we want to give back the best way we can.”
Maureen Decherd

We are all so fortunate to benefit from those Dallas philanthropists who gave to build this medical center, and Dr. Sprague, whom this award is named after. Under his leadership over 19 years, the institution transformed and truly came of age. Now, it’s our turn. It’s our turn to contribute to improving on what we inherited. That is what motivates all of us.”

The Ho Din Award
Every year, Southwestern Medical Foundation has the privilege of presenting the Ho Din Award to physicians who exemplify the unique personal qualities embodied in all great physicians – medical wisdom and human understanding. We are honored to celebrate the 2022 Ho Din Award recipient, Dr. Cayenne Price, and welcome her into the legacy of winners. We know she will do amazing work in her chosen field of anesthesiology.

It is a great pleasure to celebrate Cayenne Price for her devotion to medicine and service to community. Cayenne, like the Ho Din Award winners before her, exemplifies the qualities of medical wisdom and scholarship, service, and leadership inherent in all great physicians. Her passion and commitment to the underserved are an inspiring example to all of us who are seeking to address disparities in health care. I have no doubt that she will help us change the world for the better.
